Sparkfun Inventor’s Kit: For Makers

Sparkfun Inventor’s Kit: For Makers

I’ve been working on building makerspaces in Long Beach for some time now.

There are a few things that Makers are encouraged to learn. The Arduino is one of these. I’ve found that the Sparkfun Inventor’s Kit is a great resource for learning. It comes with a nice booklet of projects that first explains a lot about various electrical components, breadboards, the Arduino and best of all, with downloadable code.

I hadn’t played with these much, but I’ve seen the information and kits change quite a bit over time. I recently brought these out again as I am working on transitioning a student from the LEGO EV3 robot to coding with Scratch then now to the Arduino. It’s turning out to be a nice transitional coding path for students about 10 years of age.
