Squigglemom Projects

If actions were words, then I’m writing a dictionary.  Here are some of my projects.  Please click on the link to get the background of each project.

ETES Inc

ETES Inc (Educational Travel and Experiences) was formed in 2013 and is the parent company of Makersville (a Maker community) and Brickersville (a Maker community and Discovery through Learning Center based on LEGO Bricks).  It is the corporate umbrella for the Leading Edge Multi-National Games, a series which bring US and International teams together for training and competition.

ETES works through collaborations with individuals and non profit and for profit entities.

Makersville

Inspired by the Maker Movement and attendance at the Maker Faire 2011, Squigglemom started a community and sought out spaces for making things.  Largely oriented towards youth and the adults who serve them, Makersville embraces entrepreneurship and supports micro-preneurs in finding and practicing their entrepreneurial deliveries through a learn-to-teach approach, usually at deliveries at pop-up locations.

Makersville also serves as a space activation entity as it creates attention for under utilized spaces.

Brickersville

Brickersville is a LEGO brick themed Makerspace, which is advertised as a Learning and Discovery space.  Started in 2019, Brickersville is the first permanent space of ETES Inc and is also shared by Makersville.  Brickersville is located at 419 Q Shoreline Village Drive in Long Beach, CA 90802

Brickersville is creating opportunities for several new projects:

Shades of Long Beach History (Shoreline Village and The Pike), The Shoreline Village In LEGO Bricks

Squigglemom

Steve Jobs once said:

“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something – your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever.”

A squiggle is a personality type.  At a risk of being labelled and judged by you, dear reader, I share this document which describes personality types.

Squigglemom is an experiential channel and blog that shares anything I care to share with you.  It documents techniques, thoughts, ideas and my experiences.  I am creating data points (dots) and lookups for my experiences that I will later connect in some as-yet unknown project.  That project will come together when I connect the dots.

The Community Lemonade Game

The Community Lemonade Game uses Creative Problem Solving and LEGO Serious Play principles and methods.  It is a framework for finding entrepreneurial goals through a philosophy of helping others and maintaining positivity in adversity.  It is used for grassroots community development, starting with a community of one and an idea.  The CLG is the intellectual property of Squigglemom, Trish Tsoiasue.

Progressive LEGO Builds

Trish visualizes and gathers community to implement progressive LEGO Builds including: the Crystal Cove Model for the Costa Mesa LEGO Store, Brickersville and The Shoreline Village in LEGO Bricks.
